If you are the future owner of the luxury ecomobile i8 and you plan to take that weekend vacation in Monaco in style, Louis Vuitton has got you covered. The set

consists of two travel bags, a business case and a garmant bag.

Kinja'd!!!

They aren't made of ordinary materials though. Just like the i8 itself, the bags are made from carbon fibre. Louis Vuitton claims the material to be super robust and strong. Design wise, the bags imitate the chequered carbon fibre look and feature a Louis Vuitton logo branded in with lasers . All bags are designed to perfectly fit inside the luggage spaces of the BMW and to maximize transport capabilities.

No word on prices yet, but if you have to ask...

Nothing says "I'm a pompous douchebag" like Louis Vuitton carbon fiber luggage made to match your BMW.

They already manage to combine the complete douchebagness of owning a BMW, with the insufferable dickishness of owning an electric car already! This just puts it over the top.

...I still want one though.

The i8 front end is spot on. But the rear looks like it a) swallowed a 911 and b) like a fat girl in yoga pants. If they fix it and drop in the E92 M3 V8, then it would kick ass and BMW would have the supercar they deserve.

And you are totally right about the douchefactor. Electric car plus BMW plus LV? This screams hip California suburbs.

Yeah but now you the bellhop can carry your status symbol through the Hilton up to your suite, so a few more people will know you have an i8 and it's carbon LV luggage.

I got a feeling our resident future i8 owner won't care much for stuff like this.

I can't even imagine how much even one of those bags cost. My mom's Louis Vuitton purse cost like $1700 and that dosen't even involve carbon fibre or lasers! I personally think that it's dumb to spend that much on a purse but then again most people probobly think spending $300,000 on a Ferrari would be stupid but I know most of us would do that in a heartbeat if we had the money. Though I do have to give it to Louis Vitton that they know how to build some quality shit so you wouldn't have to worry about those bags breaking anytime in your life time. Seriously I think they coat the zippers with Amsoil they're so smooth!

Your first guess was spot on. He's trading in the Range Rover for it.

NP if they actually float. Otherwise CP all the way. Hey how many different shaped bags can we make out of this same roll of leather? I just don't think the reserved style of LV goes with the WTF style of the i8.
